Martin James Loftus,

Gurteen, Killasser, Swinford, Co. Mayo - peacefully at Mayo Hospice, Castlebar on the 9th June 2023.

Predeceased by his parents Martin and Maggie Ellen, sister Nuala, brother Séamus, nephews Michael and Tommy.

Sadly missed by his sisters Mary (Janganant, UK) and Kathleen (McNulty), brothers Johnny (UK) and Tommy (USA), brother-in-law Thomas, sisters-in-law Angela, Caroline and Mary, nieces and nephews Patricia, Annick, Brian and Caroline; Patrick, Terence and Catriona; Laura and Dannielle; Sinéad; Kate, Maureen and Patrick, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Boland’s Funeral Home, Swinford (F12K122) this Tuesday evening from 5 o’clock until 8 o’clock with removal to All Saints Church Killasser, arriving at 8.30 pm.

Funeral Mass this Wednesday at 12 o’clock in All Saints Church Killasser, with burial afterwards in Killasser Cemetery.

We have so many fond memories of him of when we were children up until we last saw him and loved hearing stories about our family and seeing his Donkeys on his farm. When our dad John updated us we were shocked by this sad news. Martin James was such a nice, kind person with a great love for living life and having a brilliant sense of humour. We are sorry we couldn’t come to Ireland to his funeral but we watched it online and we were there with u all. We will sincerely miss him.
