William F. Heneghan (better known as Billy),

Lighthouse Road, Blacksod, Belmullet, Co. Mayo - peacefully at the Sonas Tí Aire Nursing Home, Belmullet on 12th May 2023.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret, parents Margaret and Anthony Heneghan, sisters Maeve and Margaret and brother Tony.

Beloved father of Anthony (Las Vegas), Dearbhla Lawson (Dún Laoghaire), Eithne Payne (Leicester, England), Mairéad Noonan (Versaille, France), Barbara Heneghan (Mullaghroe North, Clogher, Belmullet), Maeve Lee (Maynooth, Co. Kildare), Brendan (Lighthouse Road, Blacksod) and Liam (Rossard, Bunclody, Co. Wexford), adored grandchildren Lynn, Líadan, Madeline, Aoibh, Ferdia, Amelie, Sebastian, Clara, Ieuan, Feithín, Clodagh, Oonagh, Iarladh, Muireann, Dónal and Owen. He will sadly missed by his heartbroken family, sons in law, daughters in law, sister June Stapleton (Balbriggan, Dublin), nieces, nephews, relatives, former lighthouse keepers, neighbours and friends.

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Remains reposing at McDonnell Funeral Home, Belmullet on Monday evening from 5 o’clock to 6.30 with funeral arriving at St. Brendan’s Church, Tirrane at 8 o’clock.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon followed by burial in Faulmore Cemetery.

Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing at 12 noon on Tuesday on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook Page with all other funeral services available for viewing at 8 o'clock on Tuesday evening.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to the R.N.L.I. to be paid online via the “Donate to the R.N.L.I. and help save lives at sea” website.
