John Kearns,

Manchester and Corby, Northamptonshire (UK) and formerly of Rathnagussane, Kilmovee, Co. Mayo (January 29th, 1935 - May 8th, 2023) - peacefully with his family by his side, in the exceptional care of Eithne and her staff at Oakwood Nursing Home, Ballaghaderreen,

Pre-deceased by his wife Mai, son Shaun, parents William and Nora, brother Frank and sister Anne Boylan.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his sons Frank, Liam and Michael, his brother Jim (Cardiff) and his sister Mary McEvilly (Oughterard), his nephew Michael Boylan, niece Sarah Mongan, sisters-in-law, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

John will repose in The Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Thursday from 5pm with removal at 6.45pm to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kilmovee arriving at 7.30pm.

Mass of the Resurrection on Friday at 11am.

John will be interred in Shire Lodge Cemetery in Corby, Northamptonshire, UK.

He was a very interesting man full of kindness and decency. He was exceptionally proud of his family and spoke in glowing terms of them. He shared some wonderful memories of places he worked and characters he met along the way. He was much more than a customer to us all. He lived life at his pace and was very happy.
