April 23rd 2023 - peacefully at home in the care of his family.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife Eileen (née Gibbons), daughter Deborah (Louisburgh), sons James (Vermont, USA), Richard (Kilgeever), Stephen (Corrandulla), Andrew (Knockrooskey) & Matthew (Dublin), sister Delia Coen, brothers Seamus, Michael, John, & William, daughters-in-law Merin, Triona, Niamh, Assumpta, & Laura, his fifteen grandchildren, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended Maxwell & Gibbons Families and a wide circle of friends.

Joe will lie in repose at Sweeney's Funeral Home Louisburgh on Tuesday (April 25th) from 6 o’clock concluding with evening prayers at 8.00pm.
Funeral arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Louisburgh at 11.15am on Wednesday for 11.30am Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment in Kilgeever Cemetery.
