Br. Hyacinth (Gerald) Kennedy O.S.F.,

Franciscan Brothers, Newtown, Mountbellew, Co. Galway and formerly of Dunmore, Co. Galway - 6th March 2023 - peacefully in his 90th year, in the excellent care of the matron and staff of Flannery’s Nursing Home, Abbeyknockmoy.

Predeceased by his parents John and Delia, his brothers Peter (Dunmore), Patrick (Galway), Kevin (New York) and Jim (New York).

He will be sadly missed by his brothers Jack and Brendan (Gruigueachallaire, Dunmore), sister-in-law Dr. Mary Kennedy (New York), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, his Franciscan Brothers and a wide circle of friends in Ireland and California.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at the Franciscan Brothers residence, Newtown, Mountbellew H53 K528 on Wednesday evening from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock.

Removal on Thursday morning to St. Mary’s Parish Church, Mountbellew for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock which is live streamed on http://www.churchtv.ie/mountbellew

Burial afterwards in the Franciscan Brothers Cemetery, Mountbellew.
