Mary Ruane née Cunningham,
76 McHale Road, Castlebar and formerly of Thomas Street, Castlebar – peacefully in Mayo University Hospital on the 27th January.
Predeceased by her husband Johnny, parents John and Mary, brothers Johnny Cunningham, Pa Cunningham and Sean Corley, sisters Ann Roberts and Gay Benham.
Loving mother of Ann Mohan (Turlough), John, Pat, Robert, Declan and Kevin (all Castlebar).
She will be sadly missed by her loving sons and daughter, adored grandchildren Lee, Emma, Leona, Finn, Luke, Nathan, Holly and Stefan, brothers Kevin (Breaffy) and Raymond (Castlebar), son-in-law Pat, daughters-in-law Della, Frances, Lorraine and Sandra, nephews, nieces, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Aged 84 years, Mary was well liked and respected by all those she came into contact within her work in Davitt House and in Castlebar Garda Station, where she worked for over 40 years. Her closest friends were her neighbours on McHale Road where she was loved by all. Mary was very sociable, and she loved nothing more than meeting and chatting with the crowds she met on match days in McHale Park. She enjoyed the bingo sessions where she met friends old and new and took great pride in her garden but getting her hair done and heading out with members of her family for Sunday lunch was the highlight of her week.
May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
