Bridie Leiper (née O’Neill),

New Hampshire, USA and formerly of Church Street, Glenamaddy, Co. Galway - passed away peacefully in The Galway Hospice on 23rd January 2023.

Bridie will be sadly missed by her sister Anne and her husband Gerry Collins, her brother Joseph, her brother Gerard and his partner Katrina, nieces, nephews and all her friends in Galway.

We would like to thank the Palliative care team and the staff in The Galway Hospice, and Dr. Doyle in Renmore who looked after Bridie with kindness and excellent care.

We would also like to thank Keith and Anne and all the staff in Conneely Funeral Directors Galway for all their care and guidance throughout this difficult time.

We would also like to thank her boss Stu, who thought of her as his Irish daughter, and was in contact with her every week. All the staff of Kearsarge Inn NH and all her friends throughout New Hampshire and beyond for all their texts, cards and calls as it meant a lot to her.

In keeping with Bridie’s wishes a very private ceremony has taken place in Shannon Crematorium on Wednesday 25th January.

Bridie my sister from another mother I wish I knew you were so sick I would have come to visit! I will miss you terribly we had so many Emmy at the Kearsage and Decades you even blasted me out the time Caden brought his cat and you saw him looking out the window with ole we went to Schuyler park to see the Conway train! We spend many new years watching the fire works! I’m so sad I didn’t know about this sooner I would have come right up or even gone to be with you in Galway! I will never have a friend like u ever again all we did was laugh and you kept many secrets for me Love you so much my best friend May u rest in peace but the Kearsage rooms will never be as clean as you made them!!
