Mary Joyce née O’Connor,

proprietor of Kevin Joyce Fashions, The Square, Headford, Co. Galway - peacefully, in the compassionate care of the staff of Our Lady of Knock Oncology Ward, Galway Clinic after an illness borne with immense courage, surrounded by her family on 7th January 2023.

Predeceased by her parents Charles and Julia, her beloved husband Kevin, her brothers John Joe (Headford), Christy (Knockroone), Fursey (Ennis), her brothers-in-law Paddy (Headford) and Ger (Headford) and her sister-in-law and steadfast friend Peggy (Kilroe).

Sadly missed by her sons Kenneth, Raymond (Dublin), Elaine (Galway), Kenneth’s partner Dervla, daughter-in-law Bree and her adored grandchildren Méabh and Eoghan. Greatly missed by her loyal brothers, Frank and Brendan (Headford), Fr. Charlie (formerly of Kansas, USA), Marty (Gort) and her husband’s siblings Fr. John (formerly of Nigeria), Sr. Bernadette (formerly of Chile), Brian (Dublin) and Ina (Ellagh).

Reposing at Ryder's Funeral Home, High Street, Headford (H91 R2V6) on Monday evening (9th January) from 5pm until 7.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12pm in St. Mary’s Church, Headford (H91 C9W8) with the funeral proceeding to Killursa cemetery.
