Catherine (Kathleen) Nevin nee Barry,

Cloonlish, Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Ahabeg, Lixnaw, Co. Kerry (January 4th, 2023) - peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her husband Tom, her son Tom Jnr., her sisters Mai, Dora and Bridie, her brother Sean and son-in-law Declan Murphy. 

Loving mother to Doreen (Murphy, Castlerea), Eddie, (Ballinlough), Ellen (Garvey, Ballinlough), Michael (Navan), Catherine (Mattimoe, Boyle), Noel (New York), Louise (Kelly, Ballinlough), Bernadette (McHugh, Ballinlough) and Theresa (Boylan, Ballinlough).

Catherine will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, her daughters, her adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Also by her brothers Eddie (New York) and Dan (Kerry), her sisters Sheila and Lizzie (Kerry). sons-in-law Geno, Michael and Dermot, daughters-in-law Jean, Grainne and Colleen, brother-in-law Bernard (Nevin, Ballinlough), nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at McDonagh's Funeral Home, Castlerea on Friday evening from 7pm until 8.30pm.

Funeral arriving to the Church of The Immaculate Conception, Ballinlough on Saturday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon with burial in Teamhair Cemetery.

I wish to offer my sincere condolences to All the Nevin family on the passing of Mrs Nevin . Great memories of herself and Tom in Ballinlough over the years in times gone bye . Lovely people, kind and so pleasant . I think we brought almost All of Catherine’s children to school in Carrick in times gone by and even some of her grandchildren in more recent times . Her legacy of kindness will live on in all her family . May her kind and gentle soul find eternal peace as she is laid to rest in Teamhair close to her beloved Tom .
