Patrick (Paddy) Kiernan,

Culcastle, Kilmovee, Co. Mayo and late of Killinkere, Co. Cavan and Stockport, Manchester (December 28th 2022 - peacefully in his 96th year in the loving care of St. Attracta's Nursing Home, Charlestown. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Ellen and his grandchildren Doireann and Sean.

He will be sadly missed and remembered by his loving family, son Kevin, daughter Kathleen, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Linda, his brother Andy (Dublin), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchild, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends.

Paddy will lie in repose in The Kilgarriff Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Friday evening from 6 o'clock to conclude with evening prayer at 7:30 o'clock.

Funeral will arrive to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kilmovee on Saturday for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon.

Burial afterwards in Naomh Mobhi Cemetery, Kilmovee.

I was profoundly sad to hear the news of Uncle Paddy’s passing. I was a young child, when my parents brought my siblings and I to Ireland for the first of many amazing visits, in which Uncle Paddy, Aunt Mary, Kathleen Maria and Kevin were a part of.
Uncle Paddy was then, and remained so an unforgettable, larger than life individual whose beautiful soul and infectious laugh always made you feel welcome in addition to the fresh pot of tea and plate of sandwiches that he seemed to whip up in mere matter of minutes.
His happiness was genuine, which made it even more contagious and conversation with him, always left you looking forward to your next visit. Paddy was a rare treasure , which I realized very early on and which I will miss moving forward.
My sincerest condolences to Kathleen Maria, Kevin and their families…. You are blessed.
