Eddie Cafferkey

Newtown, Keel, Achill – unexpectedly at his residence on December 24th, 2022.

He will be sadly missed by his sisters Christina, Philomena, Nora and Una, his brothers John, Vincent and Tommy, his in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends in Achill and Belmullet where he worked for many years. Eddie is predeceased by his parents Cissie and Eddie Joe, brothers Joe and Anthony and his sister Anne.

Reposing at Lavelle’s Funeral Home, Cashel, Achill on Tuesday from 4pm until 6pm followed by removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Pollagh arriving at 6.30pm.

Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Slievemore Cemetery.

A lovely quiet man who went about his work and daily life at the same easy pace. The highlight of his week was going home to his beloved Achill every Friday evening.
