Martha Culliney (nee Forde),

late of Lassiney, Knox Street, Ballyhaunis and Ave Maria Nursing Home, Tooreen, Co. Mayo.

Martha was in her 99th year and the last of her generation.

Predeceased by her parents Mary and Thomas, her husband Martin, brothers Andy, John and Tommy, sisters Vera, Rita, Mary and baby Eileen.

Mourned and sadly missed by her loving nieces and nephews and their families, the extended Forde and Culliney families, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Donnellans Funeral Home, Clare Street, Ballyhaunis on Thursday evening from 5.30 until 7 o’clock.

Funeral will arrive to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyhaunis on Friday morning for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock.

Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Funeral Mass can be viewed live on Ballyhaunis Parish Webcam or listened to on Ballyhaunis Parish Radio.

I wish to offer my very sincere condolences to Martha’s nieces, nephews and extended Culliney and Forde families. My memories of Martha go way back to my childhood in Lassiney ( late 1960’s , early 70’s ) . She was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met , especially kind to neighbour’s children of which I was one. .Lassiney and the people of that village were All child friendly.In more recent times Martha and myself met occasionally in town ( Her beloved Ballyhaunis) and in more recent times we met in her home from home at Ave Maria in Tooreen .The conversation always included Lassiney and it’s people and of times gone by. She was very kind to my own two girls who she got to know in recent times . She shared much with them both about Lassiney and the Flatley family ( neighbours ) .
