Maureen Lacken nee Molloy,

The Quay, Ballina, Co. Mayo - peacefully at the Galway University Hospital surrounded by her family.  

Predeceased by her daughter baby Caroline, parents Eileen and Ted & her sister Angela.

Maureen, beloved wife of Joe and loving mother of Mark, Stephen, Richard (Dublin) & Patrick.

Sadly missed and deeply regretted by her loving husband, sons, sisters Caroline & Eileen, brothers Gerard, Sean & Liam, daughters-in-law Katie, Róisín & Sharon, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at McGowan's Funeral Home, Ballina on Friday evening from 7.30pm until 9pm.

Funeral Cortege will leave her residence on Sunday morning at 10.30am to arrive to St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina for Mass at 11am followed by burial in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.

Maureen’s Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/ballina

I am so very sorry to hear that Maureen has passed away. My heartfelt sympathy to Joe and her boys and the extended Lacken & Molloy Families as you mourn her loss.
Maureen was a very proud wife and mother who always wanted what was best for them. I rarely had a conversation with her where she didn't chat about them. Often heard before seen, her distinctive laugh carried through the offices. Many Monday morning tea breaks consisted of post match analysis of either Ballina Stephenites or Mayo games!
Her passing leaves a huge void, not only for her family but for the many friends she made through her involvement in so many community activities.
Maureen has now joined the choirs of angels, may she rest in eternal peace.
