Joseph (Josie) Murphy

Late of Polranny, Achill – peacefully at St. Fionnan’s Nursing Unit, Achill Sound.

Cherished husband of the late Bridgie (nee Corrigan).

Predeceased by his siblings Bridget Kearney (Micheal), Mick, Paddy (Tess), Teddy, Marty, Johnny (Beatrice), Maureen Trainor (Mick), Shelia Corrigan (Stephen), Tommy (Angela), and Owenie.

Sadly missed by his sister Julia Fitzpatrick (Frank) and sisters-in-law Annie (Marty) and Kathleen (Owenie), nephews, nieces, great-nephews/nieces and a large circle of family and friends.

Reposing at Ted Lavelle’s Funeral Home on Thursday 25th August from 5pm until 7pm, followed by removal to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Achill Sound.

Requiem Mass on Friday 26th August at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Pollranny New Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations if desired to St. Fionnan’s Nursing Unit.
