My condolences to the Flanagan family on the loss of one of the nicest people ever to travel the Island Road. I have boyhood memories of Bernie travelling through Monasteraden daily on his tractor and trailer of creamery cans on his way to Gurteen creamery. Regardless of the weather he always greeted people with a warm smile and a kind word. May his gentle Soul rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to the family of Bernie Flanagan. He was one of the kindest most helpful people and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. I will always remember the kind welcome he always had for me when I visited his house with my aunt Joan . Rest in peace, Bernie, amen
