Please use the online condolence below. Thank you.
I used to bring communion to Chris in my time as priest for Monasteraden and was planning to visit Chris over the last while.
I am truly sorry I couldn’t get the time to do it.
He was a lovely man who bore his infirmity very well and with good humour.
Sorry I won’t be able to attend the funeral ceremonies but will see you his family later on.
May his gentle soul rest in peace
Also to his sisters, Margaret and Madeline and also to his sister Rita, my life long friend. Little did Rita and I anticipate that Chris's passing was imminent as we spoke on the phone last week.
May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.
A true gentleman he was in life. God rest him in his eternal home.
His life of prolonged patient suffering must serve as an example to us all and has left me with nothing but the fondest memories
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him
Over the years we came over to Ireland, from my childhood spending time at the house and never wanting to leave, to recent times myself and my father always made sure we came round to visit, we always received a warm and lovely welcome with you always delighted to see us.
I enjoyed listening to my father and Chris chat about anything and everything when we visited, I could have sat listening to them for hours, especially when they talked about the local history of the area.
Chris will be deeply missed by you all and everyone who knew him.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all and may Chris rest in peace.
May he Rest in Peace
Loving daughter Tina Caroline Deirdre Helen and Joan and Loving son Gerard on the passing of Chris. Thinking of you all at this sad time. May Chris gentle soul rest in peace.
