Michael Moran (better known as Scobie),
7 Riverdale Court, Knockthomas, Castlebar and formerly of Errew, Castlebar and Luton, UK - unexpectedly at his home.

Predeceased by his dad Michael.  Dearly loved husband of Cathy (neé McBride, Westport) and adored dad of Stephen, Kim and Sara and dearly loved son of Josie Moran (neé Bourke, Errew). He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, son, daughters, mother, daughter-in-law Gemma, son-in-law Brian, cherished grandchildren Amelia, Ruairí and Addison, his sister Marion Davis (Errew) and Lorraine Reape (Errew) brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, uncle, aunts, relatives and many friends.

May he rest in peace.

As a young man Scobie played for Luton Town Football Club and he later took up the midfield position for Breaffy GAA club. He loved soccer and was very involved with Castlebar Celtic both as a player and a manager. He was a gifted painter and he was well respected and loved by everyone. He was very sociable and always enjoyed meeting up with friends old and new. One of his many interests was cooking and he was an excellent cook. He was a great family man and he was very proud of his family.

Scobie will repose in Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Saturday, 16th July 2022, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. The funeral will leave Kilcoyne's Funeral Home on Sunday, 17th July 2022, at 11.10am, walking to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar - arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Afterwards Scobie will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.
