I have only learnt of Maureen's death today, when I tried to email and phone her, with no success.

I hold her very dear in my heart, and will never forget the friendship we shared. I had thought that this would be the year I would make it to Galway on my trip to Europe from Australia. We had had some great chats over the oceans since 2006. She had been a real friend in a time when I was struggling. I offer my most sincere condolences to her family. Liz
