Jim Mc Intyre,

Sonnagh, Charlestown and formerly of Manchester - peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar.

Sadly missed by his loving family; his wife Bridie and children John, Christine, Eileen, Angela, Theresa, Patrick, James and Gerard; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Peg, brothers Brendan and Paddy, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.  

May he rest in peace. 

Jim will repose at the Horkan Funeral Home, Charlestown on Tuesday evening from 5.30pm until 7.00pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to St. James's Church, Charlestown for Funeral Mass at 12 o’clock followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Jim was indeed a true Gentleman and was one of the first people to welcome us to the village seven years ago and it has been an honour to know him for all that time. We loved everything about him...his utter love of and devotion to Bridie, his love for and pride in his family, his amazing ability to grow just about any fruit or veg (except Brussel Sprouts he sadly told us!), and his many, many stories about his early life in rural Ireland and whilst working in England (there were few places he had not worked).
