Errew, Castlebar in his 91st year, peacefully at his residence in the care of his loving family.

Predeceased by his beloved daughter Carmel Devane, (Ennis).

Deeply regretted by his devoted wife Phil, his son Tom and daughters Yvonne & Fiona, his sons-in-law Joe Devane & Jim Fox, his daughter-in-law Bernie, grandchildren Róisín, Conor & Donal Devane, Jayne, Simon & Greg Thomas and Eilís, Áine & Clodagh Fox, brother to Mai Heneghan RIP (Newtown, Clogher), Rose Flynn (Kinnegad), Kathleen Mellett, (Balla), Br Conal Thomas, (Corrundulla) & Tom Thomas, (Carlow), nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.

Rest In Peace Johnny

Johnny will repose in Coady’s Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Removal from his residence on Saturday morning at 11.15 to St Patrick’s Church, Ballyheane for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.

House private please. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Western Alzheimers, Ballindine.

I have very fond memories of Johnny when I was growing up next door to him in Errew, he was so nice to my siblings and I as well as all the local teenagers. On my many visits back home to Errew, I had the privilege of having numerous conversations with Johnny and we always ended up speaking about Irish politics/current affairs which would last for hours.

Johnny was my Father's best man at his wedding and he was always a special person in the Deasy family.
