Predeceased by his wife Cécile R.I.P.

Deeply regretted by his sons Ian, Brian, Paul, William, Andrew, Simon and daughter Caroline, sister Sr. Bridget, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, family circle, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Campbell's Funeral Home, Swinford on Friday, 1st April from 5pm until 7pm.

William's Funeral Mass will take place in the Church of our Lady Help of Christians, Swinford on Saturday, 2nd April at 12 noon prior to burial in Kilconduff Cemetery.

I rang him after I heard him tell his story on Midwest and I told him mine. We exchanged our books by post and both enjoyed each other’s writing. It was a shock to hear of his death as he seemed full of life to me. May God take him to join your Mom and be with the love of his life again. You must all take comfort from that. Your memories of them both will always be there with you all. Rest In Peace William. I’m reading “From Scythe to Satellite” with new eyes all over again. Farewell William my new best friend in Heaven.

Deepest condolences on your wonderful Dads passing. He was a great man and saw Kinaffe NS through much investment and improvements during his time on the Schools Board of Management. He was a great man to oversee progress and was meticulous in every way to ensure everything was completed correctly. We had a wonderful day with him in a Kinaffe NS last June when the children staff and I had the pleasure of accepting a copy of his book which he had great pride presenting a copy of to the school. He will be missed by us all
He was also to be spotted and chatted to by the children and staff at Kinaffe Graveyard where he would be tidying and keeping the place tidy.
