Springfield Drive, The Quay, Westport - peacefully at his home. (February 11th 2022)

Predeceased by his brother Martin and sisters Evelyn and Patsy.

Aiden will be sadly missed by his wife Mary nee Neary and sons Aiden and Geoff, daughters Marie & Aithne, their partners Tanya, Abby, Vince and Mick, grandchildren Patrick, Shauna, Liam, Sophie, Kayla, Chloe, Matthew, Eirnin and Noah, brothers Ray (Castlebar), Ger (New road, Westport), sisters Mary O'Rourke (London), Kay Forkin (Windsor, UK), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, friends and all at Westport United FC

May his soul rest in peace.

Reposing at his residence on Sunday evening (Feb 13th) from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock for family and friends.

Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 11 o’clock in St. Mary's Church, Westport with the funeral proceeding to Aughavale Cemetery.

Aiden was an absolute gentleman and a very dear friend to us all. He was the tidiest worker I ever encountered. When Aiden said the job was done, it was done.
He came to work in a jumper, shirt and tie everyday, never wore overalls and went home without a speck of dust on him.
He was very proud of his family and the fact that he was a life long member of Westport United and his legacy will live on.
Aiden was one of my closest friends and we had some hairy times together but he was always there as a friend to help whenever it was needed and I will miss him a lot.
Aiden has always meant alot to my family and we have many memories of Aiden being there for us all.

He was proud of his Family and of Westport, but Wesport Utd was his pride and joy, he was at all times working behind the scenes for the betterment of the club. Aiden was a loyal, loyal supporter. He could be seen at any match anywhere that Westport Utd were playing, U10s U18 or the junior team,it made no difference he was there. Only a week or two ago he was in Milebush to watch his Grandson playing despite, he being quite ill himself at the time. That is the kind of man he was. He will be missed by his family but also by his many Soccer friends. United Park will not be the same. Rest in Peace Aiden.
