Sean Frankie Gallagher

Currane, Achill – peacefully at Mayo Hospice, Castlebar.

Predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen, parents Frankie and Sibby and brother Patrick (Castlebar).

Deeply regretted and remembered by his loving brothers Frank (Manchester), Owen (Manchester), Michael (Castlebar), Terry (Currane), Thomas (Mulrany), sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces,  grand nephews, cousins, neighbours and many friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Casadh an Taoille on Tuesday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock followed by removal to Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church, Currane.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Polranny Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Mayo Roscommon Hospice, c/o Charlie Gallagher Funeral Director, Currane, Achill.

I have known Sean for over sixty years , and his kindness, his friendship, his great welcome to relatives, friends and visitors alike were a special part of Currane visits. A great neighbour to the length and breath of the village, and always willing to offer a helping hand. When visiting the compass, you were always greeted ,with the hand wave first ,then the smile, followed by the welcome and the banter ,always a special memory for many people, The "Failte Abhaile" festival was a favourite with Sean where he met and greeted so many people.
