Ann Morris (better known as Nan),

Davitt Street, Foxford, Co. Mayo - peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar

Nan, predeceased by her parents Hugh and Mary and her brothers Phillip, Padraic, Bertie, Paul and Kevin and her sister Mai Quinn.

Nan will be dearly missed by her nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Rest in Peace Nan

Nan will repose in Clarkes Funeral Home, Foxford on Wednesday evening from 5 o’clock until 6.30.

Funeral will arrive to St. Michaels Church, Foxford on Thursday morning for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock with the funeral proceeding to Craggagh Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Craggagh Cemetery Committee c/o Clarkes Funeral Home, Foxford

No handshaking in Funeral Home or Church by request, walk through sympathising only and wearing of facemasks is requested please in the Funeral Home and in the Church.

To the morris/Quinn Families

My first meeting with Ms Nan Morris was at the grave of Fr Joy Foy who was born in Foxford. It was during my leaving cert and it was not long afterwards that we meet again through my father peter. Thats where the love of music and the seeds were sown. She was the well spring for my education in those early years. I started to go to Nan for music lessons on the piano how to use the left hand and the right hand in contary motion. The she introduced me to the writing of the music onto the staves. She taught me Irish literature and the history of music. Thats where i found out about the wonderful and unknown composer Prof W.H.M O Shaughnessy the Limerick born composer 1892-1965 and the pageant of Foxford in memory of Sr M Arsenius Morrogh Bernard who founded the Providence Woollen MIlls in 1892. She gave her blessing to my recent project for the 130 anniversary of the mills and is behind me all the way. rest in peace until we meet again some sunny day.
