Victoria Terrace, Emmet Street, Ballina, Co. Mayo - peacefully in the care of the staff of the Sonas Ard Na Greine Nursing Home, Enniscrone, Co. Sligo.

Removal from McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina on Saturday morning at 11.15am for family only to arrive to St. Muredach’s Cathedral for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30am.

Burial afterwards to Leigue Cemetery.

Funeral Mass will be live streamed at www.ballinaparish.org

Due to current restrictions and guidelines and to protect each other and the most vulnerable in our community there is no sympathising by handshaking and face coverings must be worn at all times.

Very sorry to hear of Marion's passing, sincere condolences to the Sweeney and extended family. The Riley & Boland premises was a cornerstone of the business community in Ballina for many years. I remember fondly a visit to her in the nursing home some years ago when we "walked" in our minds through all the main streets of Ballina and she enquired about the current occupants of all the buildings and businesses she knew so well, and her memories of old Ballina. RIP
