Sr. Martha Murphy

Convent of Mercy, Loughrea, Co. Galway and formerly Ballinlough, Claremorris, Co. Mayo - January 6th 2022 in her 103rd year (peacefully) in the loving care of Clarinbridge Care Centre.

Predeceased by her brothers Paddy, Mick and Tommy and her sister Beatrice.

Deeply regretted by her nephews Fr. Tommy Murphy (Columban Fathers, Hong Kong), Paraic Murphy (Swords), Michael Murphy (Castlebar), Tommy, Michael and Laurence Murphy (Claremorris), nieces Mary Finan (Loughglin) and Teresa Connolly (Claregalway), grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, relatives, friends and the Sisters of Mercy Western Province.

Due to Covid 19 guidelines the Funeral will be private.

Reposing at Kilboy’s Funeral Home (H62 KF63) on Sunday, 9th January, between 2.00pm and 3.00pm.

Funeral Mass in St. Brendan’s Cathedral, Loughrea on Monday, 10th January, at 12.30 pm. Burial afterwards in the Convent Cemetery.
