Seamus Ruddy,

Derrynameel, Barnatra, Ballina, Co.Mayo -  peacefully in the tender loving care of the nurses and staff on St John’s Ward at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar on the 7th of January 2022.

Predeceased by his sisters Margaret Moran (Birmingham) and Ellen Barrett (Coventry) and brother Patrick Ruddy (Derrynameel).

Seamus is survived by his loving sister Mary (Maude) McAndrew (Ardaughan, Ballina).

He will be sadly missed by his beloved niece and nephews Agnes (Derrynameel), John (Derrynameel) and Patrick (Darrynameel), grandnieces and grandnephews Emma, Ethan, Shauna, Ryan, Jake, Zack and Holly, in laws Neil, Theresa and Christina, beloved nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, in laws, his friends and staff in the Wheelchair Centre (Logmore, Belmullet), neighbours and everyone that loved him dearly.

May Seamus’s Kind and Gentle Soul Rest In Peace 

Funeral cortege will depart from his niece Agnes’s residence in Derrynameel on Sunday morning the 9th of January at 11:20am to arrive at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Glencastle for funeral mass at 12 noon. Interment will take place afterwards in Glencastle New Cemetery.

House strictly private for family only please. Donations if desired to the The Irish Wheelchair Association (Belmullet Branch) c/o Healy’s Funeral Directors, Barnatra.

A memorial Mass for the repose of Seamus’s soul will be held at a later date which will be announced in due course. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated by the family at this difficult time.
