Johnny really appreciated the good work of the Galway Simon Community and the Irish Kidney Association. If you thinking of flowers, you may consider making a donation instead to Galway Simon Community or Irish Kidney Association.

I watched the Funeral Mass of Johnny (online from Derry ) and I can safely say it's been a long time since I watched such a beautiful Funeral Mass .
The readings ,the prayers the poetry ,the music ,the talk given by his brother Cathal , everyone's contribution made it so special .It was so fitting to see so many priests on the altar with a special mention to Fr.Benny .
Well done to all his family ,friends and all involved they did him proud .
I'm sure Johnny would be pleased .
Rest in eternal peace ? Johnny ,no doubt we will be calling on you for help now that you are wiser than us ?

Rosary has welcomed him warmly into Gods Kingdom. Fond memories of a gentle man now at rest

John was a very generous person and liked spending time with people, I was always offered a lift to Galway when completing my nursing studies. One of my fondest memories was when John helped a nursing friend put a poem together for the “Queen of the mask” competition held in Ballinrobe. She won the competition and we put that down to John’s impressive poem.
John you will be sorely missed, Rest In Peace.

Thinking of you all at this sad time.
If I'm not mistaken, he was very badly injured in a car accident this very night, many, many, years ago, and endured a long recovery.
