Thomas Clarke (better known as Tommy)
Cloggernagh, Islandeady, Castlebar – suddenly at his home.
Predeceased by his parents Martin and Margaret Clarke, his brother Pat (Australia) and his sister Ann O'Donnell (Cloggernagh).
Dearly loved husband of Kathleen (nee Reilly).
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sisters Mary Feerick (Ballinrobe) and Teresa Donnellan (Galway), neices and nephews especially Amy, Sarah and Justin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives, friends and his neighbours who were always so helpful to him.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Tommy was a well known and respected farmer.
He loved his animals and the land and always enjoyed his visits to Balla Mart.
He looked forward to meeting his friends on a Saturday evening in Johnny McHale's. The highlight of his year were the holidays spent with Kathleen in Spain, Portugal and further afield where they listened to and danced to their favourite Country and Western entertainers.
Tommy loved travelling and he and Kathleen visited many countries including Australia. He tuned in daily to MWR and enjoyed the jokes and laughs with Paul and Gerry as well as Tommy Marren's show and he never missed a Michael Commin's show often listening to him late into the night.
Tommy will be sadly missed by his many friends and the people he came into contact with at home and abroad.
Reposing at his home on Tuesday 14th December from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock.
Removal from his home on Wednesday to St. Patrick's Church, Islandeady arriving for Funeral Mass at 2 o’clock. Afterwards Tommy will be laid to rest with his parents in Islandeady Cemetery.
House private until 1pm on Tuesday.
