James (Jim) Nevin,

Shankhill, Kilkerrin, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway on November 27th 2021 -  peacefully surrounded by his loving family and supported by the caring staff at Portiuncula Hospital.

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Maureen, his brothers Paddy, Mick, Tom, John Joe and sisters Bridie and Mary.  

Deeply missed by his loving children James, John, Elaine, Martina, and Michael,  brother Bernie, daughters in law Carmel, Andrea and Yvonne, sons in law Derek and Brian, grand-children; Michelle, Claire, Aoibhínn, Saoirse, Caoimhe, Oisín, Eimear, Donnchadh and Éabha, sisters in law; Kathleen and Helena, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace. 

Reposing at Kilkerrin Community Centre (H53 K7F9) on Monday evening, November 29th from 6.30 with removal to St. Joseph’s Church Kilkerrin at 8pm. 

All those attending are asked to please respect social distancing guidelines by wearing a mask and avoid hand shaking.

Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Josephs Church on Tuesday morning, November 30th at 11 o’clock with burial afterwards in the local Cemetery. 

Mass will be broadcast on 106.6FM or can be viewed on Coneran Funeral directors facebook page.

Our sincere condolences to the Nevin family. My grandmother (Delia née Kenny) was James’ aunt. My brother and I were planning to be in Ireland this past spring and hoped to meet cousins we never met before including Jim. We are very sad this did not happen due to COVID. My mother is arranging to have a Mass said for him. Again, sincere condolences.
