Kathleen Cunniffe (nee Conroy) – (28th October 2021)

Cottage road, Breaffy, Castlebar and late of Cloonaghmore, Breaffy - peacefully at Mayo Hospice.

Predeceased by her husband Josie, grandson Conor Keegan (Virginia, USA), sisters Chris Mc Donnell (Moorehall), Delia Foley (Florida), Vivienne Conroy (New York), Claire Touhy (Breaffy) and twin sister Nora Taylor (New York), brothers Martin Conroy (Breaffy) Mike Conroy (New York).

Deeply regretted by her loving family; Mary Keegan (Virginia, USA), Tom Cunniffe (Breaffy), Catherine Cunniffe - Hennelly (Islandeady, Castlebar), sons-in-law Paul and Brendan, grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, Ella, Ava, Tommy, Tara, Shane and Anna-Kate, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.  

 

Rest in Peace Kathleen.

 

Arriving at St. Aloysius Church, Breaffy this Friday morning at 11 o’clock for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Kathleen will be laid to rest afterwards in Breaffy Cemetery.

House strictly private, by request.

Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Mayo Hospice.

My sincere condolences to the Cunniffe family on the passing of Kathleen. She was a wonderful women and I have many a fond memory of Kathleen of the Barney Set Dancers. It did not matter the occasion, whether it was the Irish nights in Breaffy House or preparing the floats for St. Patrick’s Day parade in Castlebar she was always positive, a great motivator and got on with things with that wonderful smile on he face. Even the dancing the music practice sessions in her house were full of craic and fun. I am sure she will now be teaching all a jig in heaven and reliving the old times with my Dad (Paraic Lydon, RIP). Rest in peace, Kathleen.
