Predeceased by his sons Liam and Diarmuid and brother Gerry.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Bríd, sons Seamus, Padraig, Sean and Ciarán, brothers Pa and John, sisters Julia, Ann and Peggy, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Rest in peace

Reposing at his son and daughter in laws residence, Sean and Carol Duffy, Church Road, Aghamore (F35 NV90) on Thursday, 30th of September from 3 o'clock until 7 o'clock.

Funeral arriving to St. Josephs Church, Aghamore on Friday, 1st October for Mass at 2 o'clock.

Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Home house strictly private.

Social distancing to be observed at all times and 50% capacity for the Church.

I wish to express my sympathy to the family of the late seamus o duffy especially to his wife Brid, Seamus, Padraig Sean Ciaran and all the duffy family on the passing of indeed the legend of radio broadcasting both in the studio and off the airways. He loved his traditional irish music and all things irish including sport. It was indeed a pleasure to meet with seamus at the different fleadhs throughout the country. He was sincere and down to earth. one time i meet at the all ireland in Tullamore in 2009 and i meet him in the hotel and he turned to me and said " its time you got married" we both laughted and i am still waiting. I remember him adjudicating me at the foxford feis in 1992. He was very intentive and at all times sincere. God bless and keep you safe in the hand of the heavenly angels. hope there is plenty of music to where you are going.

I have very fond memories of Séamus as moltóir of the Féile Drámaíochta and Irish sections of Ballycastle and Ballina Feiseanna. He was always flaithiúil; supportive and encouraging of each child’s efforts. He gave the impression that he was honoured to be invited as adjudicator and never “counted the cost”. Séamus definitely made a wonderful contribution to promoting Gaeilge and all things Irish.
