Michael Gallagher (Rua)

Cashel, Achill – peacefully in the Loving care of the staff at St. Fionnan's Nursing Unit, Achill on the 9th August 2021.

He will be sadly missed by his loving sister Anne King (Preston), nieces, nephews,  nneighbours, relatives and friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Lavelle's Funeral Home, Cashel on Tuesday evening from 6 o’clock until 7 o’clock.

Remains leaving the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 10.30 to St. Joseph’s Church, Bunnacurry for Funeral Mass at 11 o clock, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan,

I am so very sorry to hear today, of the death of Michaél Rua..what a lovely, kind man. I stayed in Streatham with a friend of mine and his nephew Anthony McNulty who I was in college with. Michaél and another nephew Peter lived upstairs from us, many's the laugh we shared and many's the night they came for the last pint to make sure I got home safely from my evening job in the local pub. Always considerate and good fun. May he rest in peace.
