James C. (Charlie) O'Malley,

Chicago, and formerly of Carnacon, Claremorris, Co. Mayo aged 85 years, died peacefully Monday July 26, 2021.

Loving Husband of 61 years to Mary nee Quinn; devoted father to James (Debra), William and Laura (Andrew) Slipkevych; proud grandpa to Joseph, Matthew (Sean), Jenna (Jonathan), Conor (Franchesca) and Quinn; dear brother to the late Austin (Mary) O'Malley; found uncle to many nieces and nephews overseas.

A native of Co. Mayo Ireland, he had a long career in the automobile industry and relished his time as a member of several Irish Showbands performing with the Bachelor Showband and the Shannonaires for many years.

Visitation will be held Thursday July 29, 4-8pm at Cooney Funeral Home 625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068.
