Mary Kate Quinn nee Clarke (better known as Kathleen)
Ross, Pontoon Road, Castlebar and formerly of Tubbridge, Keenagh, Ballina – peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar.
Predeceased by her parents Mary and Mikie Clarke and her children Kieran and Fiona who both died in infancy.
Dearly loved wife of Martin and loving mother of Michael, Mary, Ann, Gerry, John, Raymond and Noreen.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers John and Michael, sister Nora Mitchell, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends including her former work colleagues in the Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar.
In 1957 Kathleen came from Keenagh to work in the Sacred Heart Hospital in Castlebar where she spent a total of 25 years having taken a number of years out to raise her children. She worked there as a multi-task attendant and was loved by both staff and patients. Kathleen loved listening to country music especially Owen Mac, Tommy Fleming and her own relation Mark Roberts. Kathleen was a very stylish lady and especially enjoyed clothes shopping. She was a great cook and had a great interest in trying out different foods and recipes. She met her husband Martin in the Town Hall in Castlebar and they got married in 1961 and were due to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in December. She always enjoyed her many visits to her home place of Keenagh. Her children and her grandchildren and her great grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Kathleen will repose in the Kilcoyne Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Thursday 29th July 2021 from 9.30am with removal at 10.45am to St. Michael's Church, Crimlin arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Afterwards Kathleen will be laid to rest in Parke Cemetery.
