Removal from his residence in Curraun on Monday 26th at 11.00am to Church of Our Lady, Queen of the Universe and Christ the King,  Curraun for Mass at 11.30am with Funeral proceeding to Polranny Cemetery.

Gerald was one of Curranes great charachters with his very precise and distinctive voice, his sometimes quirky and personal political views, his great conversations and local knowledge, Collecting Currane people at the bus stop in Mulranny ,to his Early morning trips to the Seaweed factory in Newport, Allways on the go and not a lazy bone in his body. His special welcome to visitors to Currane during holiday time and his love of all things associated with this ancient sea village. His card playing in the "George" and his generous supply of oysters and deep sea big winkles to his friends.
I visited Gerald recently, and he was doing what Gerald did:- keeping busy.
