Vincent Courtney,

St. Marys Park, Crossmolina, Co. Mayo and formerly of Rhode, Co. Offaly - peacefully after a long Illness in the gentle care of the staff of the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar, surrounded by his loving  family.

Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, brother Eddie and sister Nuala.

Vincent is deeply mourned by his heartbroken family Annette Foley (Dublin), Helen (Waterford), Mary McAndrew (Ardagh), Marguerite (Scotland), Adrienne (Galway), Teresa (Tuam), John (Oranmore), Carmel Langan (Ardagh), Brian (Breaffy), his 23 adored grandchildren, sons in law, daughters in law, his brother Brendan, and sisters Vera Barker and Peg Salway (UK), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

May is Rest in Peace.

Requiem Mass on Sunday at 3.30pm in St. Tiernan's Church, Crossmolina.

Burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery.

In keeping with Government guidelines regarding public gatherings Vincent’s Funeral Mass will take place privately for family only.

It’s with great sadness we heard of Vincent’s death. For all of us mechanical and electrical and fellow maintenance section, Vincent was a professional craftsman, a mentor to all the mechanical lads (and the electrical lads when it was deemed necessary ) while he was a quiet man when he spoke his words were of wisdom and worth listening to. A true Gentleman and Friend to us all, a legend, Vincent you will be missed. May he rest in Peace.
