Seamus (Seamie) Lohan
Dalgan Road, Shrule, Co. Mayo and formerly of Gallows Hill, Castlebar - 25.01.1951 - 12.07.2021 - Retired Garda Sergeant - unexpectedly and peacefully after a very short illness.

Predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth and sisters Maureen and Alicoque.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen née Gillespie, (Knockmore), daughters Marie, Christine and Helena, son James, brother John, sister Nuala, grandchildren James, Seán, Rory, Florence and Heather, son-in-law Ollie, daughter-in-law Melanie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Removal from his home on Friday morning at 11.30 to St. Joseph’s Church, Shrule for Funeral Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Shrule Cemetery.

All funeral arrangements will take place in accordance with current HSE guidelines. Attendance at the Church will be limited to fifty people by invite only.

The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on the Shrule Parish Facebook Page and can be listened to on Parish Radio 101.4.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Seamie. It was always a joyous occasion to either work or meet with Seamie. You would always go away from the meeting with a smile on your face and joy in your heart. He was one of life's great character's and he will be sadly missed by anyone who had the good fortune to have spent time with him ..I still smile when I think of spending a tour of duty with him in Ashford Castle even though it's 30 years ago, such was the fun.
