Sadly missed by his loving wife Anne, daughter Michelle, sons Brian and Ian, son-in-law John (Smith), grandchildren Paul, Anna, Leah, Medb, Emma, Lucy, Oscar, Albie and Arlo, sister Yvonne (Ward), brother Liam, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Funeral Mass on Friday morning July 2nd at 11 o’clock in St. Mary's Church, Westport.

Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/westport.

Cremation will take place on Saturday July 3rd at 1.45 in Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin.

Service will be live streamed on www.vimeo.com/event/153499.

Due to HSE guidelines John's funeral will be private to family members only.

The family would like to thank you for your co-operation and consideration at this difficult time.

Condolences to Ann, Michelle, Brian, Ian and all extended family members. Coff was a wonderful man, loyal and courageous right to the end. Some of us were fortunate enough to have got to know him well and the values he held dearly. Coff would do anything for you at the drop of a hat, he was that type of character. We often saw how great a neighbour he was to those around him who might have needed some assistance. He was always there for them. Westport United was his club and he left an indelible mark on it. He was the ultimate team player, tough as nails but he knew how to pass a ball too. Later in life after he hung up the boots he became an accomplished squash player, bringing the same competitive streak to the court as he did to the pitch. The big constant throughout his life however was his love of family and he was never afraid to express that love. Coff was a one off, a legend before the term became so overused and a part of life here in Westport that will be always remembered.
