Margaret Rooney

London and Dromore West, Co. Sligo - peacefully at Sligo University Hospital on the 14th June 2021.

Deeply regretted by her sisters Josephine, Sarah and Bridget, brother-in-law Seamus, nieces Bernadette and Claire, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends.

May She Rest In Peace

Reposing at Sweeney’s Funeral Home this Tuesday evening from 6.30 with removal at 7.30 to Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Dromore West.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 o’clock with burial afterward in Churchill Cemetery.

Due to Government and HSE guidelines, the Funeral Mass will be for family & friends (50 people).

Very sad news to receive. Condolences to all the family. Margaret was a lovely, gentle lady. Despite her health declining during lockdown, she maintained a positive attitude, and always had a sparkly smile for me when I delivered her daily paper. She texted in May to say that she did not think she would be returning due to her weakening health. It is just so sad that she did not have more time to spend in the company of those she loved and those who loved her. She will be missed. Sleep well
