Gallows Hill & formerly of Newtown, Castlebar - peacefully after a short illness.

Brían (Local historian) is predeceased by his parents Brian & Kathleen.

Deeply regretted by his wonderful partner Caroline, his loving sister Máire O Donohoe, (Goatstown, Dublin & Bertra, Westport), brother-in-law Séamus, nephews Séamus & Brían, nieces Nollaig & Deirdre, cousins, relatives, neighbours & a large circle of friends.

Rest in Peace Brían.

Reposing at The Coady Funeral Home on Wednesday morning from 10.30am until 11.30am with removal to The Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar for Funeral Mass at 12 noon.

Burial afterwards to Castlebar New Cemetery.

Funeral Mass can be listened to in Castlebar on Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3 FM or viewed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Brian's sudden death. He was a classmate at both primary and secondary school. To say Brian was a proud Castlebar man would be an understatement. Brian had a very bright intellect and if you had to pick a classmate whose homework you needed to copy (as I often did), you would choose Brian.

Mayo Hillwalkers),ov er 20 years ago and for many years led varied walks high and low throughout Mayo.
