Eugene Dalton

Kilbeg, Claremorris, Co Mayo 14th May 2021-  unexpectedly at the Galway Clinic. 

Eugene will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Eileen, his sons; Eugene, Eamon, Michael and Shane, daughters; Carmel and Orla, grandchildren; Roisin, Eoghan, Caoimhe, Molly, Lucy, Neala, Matthew, Doireann and Hanorah, daughters in law Brenda. Louise. Marguerite and Gillian, son in law Darren, brother's; Paddy and Tony his sisters; Marian and Ann, sister in law, brother's in law, nieces. nephews, relatives neighbours and his wide circle of friends and his Corrib Oil Family.

"May his gentle soul rest in peace"

Eugene's remains will leave his family home on Tuesday at 12:30 ( via Ballyhaunis Rd) to arrive at St Colmans Church for Funeral Mass at 1 o' clock with burial afterwards in Ballinasmalla Cemetery. 

The funeral cortage will leave St Colmans Church for burial via Dalton St, James, and Ballindine road on route to Ballinasmalla.

Eugene's Mass will be streamed live on YouTube - Claremorris Church Live or listen on Claremorris Church radio 106fm.

Please observe social distancing at all time while the Funeral Cortage is on route.

It was with much sadness, over the weekend, that we learned of the passing of Eugene Dalton. A gentleman in every way, his wonderful and pleasant personality endeared him to many people. Eugene was born to go into business, he was one of the most successful businessmen in the county, headed up the Corrib Oil company, to where it is today
People are in high praise of Eugene Dalton, not only in the Hinterland, of Claremorris, but also throughout Connaught and beyond, where Eugene's business mushroomed in recent decades.
We send our sincere condolences to his wife Eileen, to his sons and daughters, to his brothers and sisters, and to his nine grandchildren. We would also like to send our condolences to Eugene's Sister Mrs Ann Grimes, Derryfad, and to Eugene's nephew Enda Grimes.
