Dr. Mary Philomena Spellman née O’Sullivan,

Tarmon Road, Ballindrimley, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon / Athlone, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Manor House, Dunmanway, Co. Cork - 16th April 2021.

Retired Consultant Psychiatrist at St. Patrick’s Hospital, Castlerea and University Hospital, Roscommon -  peacefully  in the loving care of the nurses and staff of South Westmeath Hospice, Athlone.

Predeceased by her loving husband Gerald (Gerry), son Dominic, brothers Teddy and Paddy and sisters Margaret and Kathleen.

Mary will be sadly missed by her sons Jarlath (Rathfarnham) and Stephen (Rathfarnham), brothers Jack and Donal, daughter-in-law Frances, grandson Yegor, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, colleagues, and friends. 

May She Rest In Peace. 

A private family funeral will take place.

The funeral cortege will leave Gaynor's Funeral Home, The Square, Castlerea at 10.40am on Wednesday morning to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Castlerea for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with burial afterward in St. Joseph's Cemetery. 

The funeral Mass will be live-streamed via Gaynor Funeral Directors Facebook page.
