Tonroe, Carracastle - peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

Predeceased by his wife Rita and son Brendan.

Sadly missed by his loving family, sons Eddie and Tommy, daughter Mary sister Ellen (New York) daughter’s-in-law Monica and Agnes, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May He Rest In Peace.

Removal from his home on Thursday to St. James’ Church, Carracastle for Funeral Mass at 2 o’clock followed by burial in Carracastle Cemetery.

Donations if desired to Mayo/Roscommon Palliative Care Services.

Due to HSE guidelines and current restrictions the funeral is private to family, they thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.

From 1900 to 1914, Walter father Edd worked in logging in Minnesota with his brother Mike. He lived near his sister Delia Parsons l in the far north. So Bridget's children knew him well. That is why all 32 of us grandchildren have stayed in touch with our Tonroe roots. We loved Walter and are united in grief at his passing. he was a warm and loving man and we will miss him..
