Tommy Lennon,

Glencastle, Bunnahowen, Belmullet, Co. Mayo who died peacefully at the residence of his son and daughter in law T.J. and Irene Lennon on 16th March 2021.

Predeceased by his wife Mary (née Kennedy), infant son Dermot and daughter in law Maureen (née Gruddy).

He will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family, sons T.J. (Saleen, Binghamstown, Belmullet), Padraic (Seaside, Belmullet), Kevin (Ballygawley, Co. Sligo), David (Glencastle, Bunnahowen, Belmullet) and John (CuanOisrí, Belmullet), daughters in law Irene, Pauline, Margaret and Carol, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Remains will arrive at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Glencastle on Thursday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by Burial in Glencastle Old Cemetery.

In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, Tommy’s funeral will be private for immediate family only. The funeral cortege will depart from the residence of Tommy’s son T.J.’ (Saleen, Binghamstown) on Thursday morning at 11a.m. and travel via Binghamstown, Belmullet and past the family home in Glencastleenroute to the church for Funeral Mass.

For those who would like to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passes through the villages, town and enroute to the cemetery, please stand in a socially distanced manner on the footpaths, roadsides, outside the church and cemetery ensuring public health and safety is being upheld to the highest standard. The Lennon family appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.

Video streaming of the Funeral Mass and all other funeral services for the late Tommy Lennon will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page on Thursday evening after 6 O’Clock. 

Memorial Mass for the soul of Tommy will be held at a later date. For those who cannot attend due to restrictions, please leave a personal message for the family on the condolence form on this webpage.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the palliative care at “Cancer Care West”. Donations may be made through the donation section on the “Cancer Care West”website.
