We wish to send our condolences to all of Brian's family and friends who miss this dear, lively, wonderful fellow. We are sad to hear of his passing but after viewing his funeral service we are reminded of his good life and his reward in the Lord. We met Brian quite by accident in May 2010 while visiting the town of my grandmother. Right away Brian made himself a friend, we saw him play the spoons, and danced together at the Whitehouse Hotel. He went with us to Knock and showed us around. The best part of the time spent with Brian was when he took us to his peat bog. I still have that peat. How does the Lord make it happen that you meet someone terrific like Brian, spend only a few days, but remember him all your life. May Brian rest in Peace and may our Lord be with us as He was with Brian. We hope to visit Brain in August at his resting place.

Cathal and Cathy Carroll . Ballinlough and Ballyhaunis
On my own behalf as well as the extended Carroll family we wish to offer our sincere condolences to Brian’s family . What an interesting and true Ballinlough man to speak to over recent years . I was always a little wiser after our conversations and we had many . He was so proud to stand at the memorial ( Keane , Glynn , and Glavey ) on the square in Ballinlough on Sept 14th 2020 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the burning of the barracks and the tragic death’s of three volunteers . To mark the occasion he gave a mighty rendition of Kevin Barry and accompanied by Breege they recited a decade of the rosary in Irish .His presence will be missed on the streets of Ballinlough and Ballyhaunis . May his gentle and kind soul rest in peace . Cathal Carroll and All the Carrolls .
