Kathleen Gallagher,
 
Lurga, Charlestown - peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.
 
Predeceased by her husband Jim and son Crevan.
 
Sadly missed by daughter Siobhan, sons John and Seamus, sisters Deirdre, Eilish, Maeve and Bronagh, brothers Ferdinand and Crevan, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
 
May she rest in Peace.
 
Funeral will depart from her home on Tuesday at 12.30pm to St James Church, Charlestown for Funeral Mass at 1pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. 
 
The Mass will be lived streamed on https://www.facebook.com/HorkanFuneralDirectors and https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/charlestown.
 
The funeral mass will be private for family only.

Our parents were friends in the 70/ and I recall numerous Sunday evenings in the McVities Social Club in Harlesden.

More importantly was the incredible generosity that your parents showed to myself and my twin brother Gerard in allowing us to stay with them and Seamus at their home in Charlestown for a few weeks during the summer before we moved on to my aunt’s house in Swinford .

That was over 40 years ago and my memory is just of long summer days, your mother’s constant smiling and your father’s quietness and dry humour
