Benny McDermott,

Ardsallaghmore, Roscommon Town and formerly of Aughris, Templeboy, Co Sligo (February 6th, 2021) - unexpectedly at Galway University Hospital.

He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Gertie, daughters Orlaith and Ethna, son Neil, brothers Patrick and Aidan, sisters Marie, Joan and Eileen, son-in-law Sean, daughter-in-law Claire, adoring grandchildren Diarmaid, Bríana, Sadhbh and Dara, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Benny is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Evelyn  and his brothers Sean, Dermot, Peter, Willie and Michael.

May Benny rest in peace.

In an effort to adhere to current government guidelines, Benny’s funeral will be private to family only please.

The funeral cortege will depart from his home in Roscommon on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock arriving at St. Adamnan’s Church, Skreen, Co. Sligo for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 o’clock.

Following Mass the funeral cortege will proceed to St Joseph’s Cemetery, Templeboy (via The Beach Bar, Aughris).
