Christopher Martin Benson (Christy),

Garden City, New York and formerly of Lisnamonaghie, Kiltimagh - suddenly at his residence on January 24th, 2021 in his 69th year.  

Deeply regretted by his loving family; wife Gail, sons Jimmy and Christopher, daughter Dawn, son-in-law Chris and daughters-in-law Stacy and Christine.

Loved by his grandchildren Jeffery, Sean, Christopher, Ryan, Hailey, Olivia and Gavin.  

Pre-deceased by Jim and Chris Benson.  

Sadly missed by his loving siblings Liam, Tilly, Seamus, Kathleen, Teresa and their families.

“Chris held Kiltimagh near and dear to his heart and more so, the people he left behind there. Visiting neighbours and close friends were most important to him when he was back on holiday and he did so every chance he got.  
There are many Americans very familiar with Mid-West Radio, as he played it at home and at work everyday”.

Funeral Mass on Friday, 29th January at 11.15am in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 130 5th Street, Garden City, New York, 11530.

So sorry to hear of the death of Christy. He was a classmate of mine in St Louis NS up to 2nd class at the Nuns and after that to Newtown Browne NS until it was closed all those years ago. He was a lovely guy, we used to have great fun at the "Royal Academy" and later on at the "new school". Another classmate gone but will not be forgotten.
