Brenda Reid nee McKinley,

Ballintean, Enniscrone, Co. Sligo - suddenly at Galway University Hospital.

Funeral will arrive to Kilglass Church of Ireland on Friday afternoon for Service at 2.30pm followed by interment in Church Grounds.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Kilglass Church of Ireland Fund, c/o McGowans Funeral Home, Ballina.

Due to current Government and HSE guidelines Brenda’s funeral service will be private to family only (10 people)

I was so sad to hear the news of Brenda's sudden passing. I spent many happy childhood days in Reid's with Orla and Vanessa and have lovely memories. Brenda was always very welcoming and kind and always had a smile on her face. I enjoyed many a good chat with her over the years and she loved telling me about her school days and the bars of chocolate my father would bring her from the shop. Norman and family, and the wider McKinley and Reid families, our heartfelt condolences. As a young girl growing up in Ballintean I was in awe of Brenda as she looked so glamorous on her nights out. She often painted my nails with her beautiful colours. She was equally generous with sharing her music and letting us young ones hear the latest pop sounds on her tape deck. Mum and she shared many a cup of tea and chat and she proved herself an excellent neighbour when the chips were down.
